Beneath the Mask: Behind the Scenes with FuzzyLogic

Masked explores themes of hiding parts of ourselves, being judged by the world around us and revealing who we truly are. We can all mask the reality of who we are to others, and we asked ourselves the question: Does a mask give you freedom, or does it obstruct you? Can you be in control of it, or does it control you?

FuzzyLogic created this new dance work after visiting Hetain Patel’s Trinity, which they saw at John Hansard Gallery in Southampton. From that inspiration, it went through a co-creative process with the youth company dancers, alongside Zoie Golding and Alex Evens.

The film explores the making process with the young company members, and asks questions of why we dance.
