ZoieLogic Dance Theatre retains National Portfolio Organisation status with Arts Council England funding offer for 2023-2026

ZoieLogic Dance Theatre (ZLDT) has been awarded a conditional grant of £641,592 as one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations for the period April 2023 to March 2026.

The Southampton based dance theatre company was first awarded NPO status in 2018 and is delighted to remain part of the portfolio for the next investment period.

The grant builds on a strong foundation and trajectory of growth for the company as the sector continues to navigate the impact of current and recent social and economic challenges.

The funding will support the core running costs of the organisation for the delivery of an ambitious programme of activity between 2023-2026. The programme will continue the company’s male youth dance talent development work, increase access to dance with a focus on young men in and out of schools across the Solent area, and deliver more projects that challenge perceptions of dance with communities in Southampton and beyond.

Zoie Golding MBE, Artistic Director, ZoieLogic Dance Theatre, said:

“We are honoured to have been given further support from Arts Council England and remain one of their National Portfolio Organisations (NPO). This funding will allow us to continue delivering high quality dance experiences to more people and keep our promises to the communities we work with.

We also recognise that not everyone who applied for funding will have received good news today, and our thoughts are with our sector colleagues in this position. It is a challenging time for everyone in our sector and we are conscious of the responsibility we have as a publicly funded organisation.

As such, we remain totally committed to ensuring that our work continues to prioritise access and inclusion in the arts, happens with a spirit of collaboration at its heart, and contributes to wide spread advocacy for the vital importance of arts and culture in society.

We are excited for what is to come and I would like to thank all those who have supported our journey so far.”
