My first two weeks

Over the last two weeks it’s been the inevitable conversation of ‘how have your first weeks gone?’ It’s really exciting to be honest.

I started with Zoielogic two weeks ago making the huge move down the corridor from Nuffield Southampton Theatres producing office to ZoieLogic HQ (now Resident Company at NST and are based in the city venue).

I started my first three days doing research and development on Heist, a new show we are developing for the future. As a producer it’s so beneficial starting on the actual show I’ll be realising with the team. I even got to “perform” in the sharing, however I was very clear I was just a body in the space, not an actual dancer… I was still given notes by the directing team though.

“It’s really simple, we get guys dancing and that’s what I’m here to do.”

Hannah

On my fourth day I was sent to Bristol with our brilliant Digital Manager, Matt, to a conference about digital capture and live streaming run by The Space. Part of my role at ZoieLogic is to look at our engagement and how we speak to our audiences and what platforms we share our information on.

Why I made the move to ZoieLogic was summed up with my first school visit to train four teachers in boys dance which was then followed by a session with FuzzyLogic. It’s really simple, we get guys dancing and that’s what I’m here to do.
