ZoieLogic Dance Theatre (ZLDT) is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a grant of £67,640 from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

The grant comes from the Foundation’s Creative, Confident Communities fund, which exists to strengthen the bonds in communities, helping local people to build vibrant, confident places where they can fulfil their creative, human and economic potential.

The funding will support ZLDT to deliver an ambitious engagement programme over the next two years.

The programme of activities will focus on:

  • Increasing opportunities for people in Southampton, where the company is based, to see and take part in dance
  • Re-building confidence in new and existing audiences and participants to take part in live dance / theatre experiences
  • Nurturing both professional and aspiring dance talent by increasing access to training and professional development programmes in Southampton and the South West region

“Everyone at ZoieLogic is thrilled to have received support from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. This grant will make a huge difference to what we’re able to achieve with our engagement programme, which sits at the heart of everything we do. We are excited that we will be able to connect more people with opportunities to enjoy dance from our beloved home city of Southampton and invest in current and future dance talent to benefit the industry at such a critical time for recovery in the wake of the pandemic.”
