Dance through the darkness, with no one left behind.

Men’s mental health is in crisis. In the UK, 1 in 3 men experience loneliness, doubling their risk of depression – and men account for nearly three-quarters of all suicides.
For too long, men* have been fighting a battle between who they’re expected to be and who they truly are.
They’re told to be strong, not vulnerable. Bold, not emotional. To never ask for help.
It’s exhausting. It’s isolating. And it’s costing lives.
What is The Big Movement?
The Big Movement is ZoieLogic’s national mass movement programme — a bold, creative response to isolation, stigma, and disconnection among men and male-identifying people.
We aim to raise awareness, reduce loneliness and combat stigma through movement-based activities and community engagement. The initiative has already welcomed hundreds of men to workshops, social events, public activations and performances.
The project provides a platform for men to move, connect, share and engage in conversations about mental health, while improving their physical wellbeing and connecting through dance experiences.
The initiative aims to make dance and movement accessible to all men, to unite men from diverse backgrounds, create safe spaces and build strong relationships. The Big Movement aspires to leave a lasting legacy of support and connection and, hopefully, save lives.
*When we refer to men, we embrace all individuals who identify as a man and are inclusive of non-binary people who identify with expressions and experiences of being male.
It’s not about being a dancer. It’s about moving together, reconnecting through joy, physicality, and shared experience. It’s about making space for conversations, connection, and change.
Why we need your support
We keep every single Big Movement event free to access — because those who need it most are often the least likely to afford or trust traditional services.
Your donation helps us:
- Reach more isolated and underserved men
- Train and support facilitators to lead inclusive, trauma-informed sessions
- Remove barriers like cost, transport, and access needs
- Programme more activities and grow the movement
- Continue using movement to support men’s mental health, wellbeing, and self-expression
