About the project

ZoieLogic Dance Theatre with the community of Holyrood estate are on a mission to raise aspirations, create opportunities, challenge perceptions and illuminate the place we proudly call home — we call it, We Are Holyrood.

Since 2019 and driven by the community, we have been bringing to life stories of past, present and have been imagining the future through dance performance, film and social gatherings. To continue this work we need you.

Holyrood is an inner-city estate in Southampton, surrounded by gentrification, 0.5 miles in diameter with over 2,500 residents and over 15 different languages spoken in this geographical area of the city alone.

Together, we’re striving to create a safe and thriving place, overflowing with creativity, where resident pride leads the way and a lasting legacy never ends.

Since securing long term investment in 2021, we have…

Established free accessible regular activity for young people and adults
Engaged over 400 residents as participants
Delivered over 300 hours of activity
Engaged over 1,000 people as live audience
